With best-in-class rear-seat legroom and cargo space, the 2024 Kia Sportage is a spacious and comfortable ride that will take you where you want to go in style, on-road or off. And you can travel with peace of mind knowing you’re covered by Kia’s industry-leading 10-year/100,000-mile warranty program. But the Kia Sportage’s advantages don’t end there. Below, we’ll dive into the many impressive features that you’ll love on your new Sportage.
No matter which one of the Sportage’s seven trims you choose, you’ll be greeted with a spacious and inviting cabin every time you go for a ride. Rear-seat passengers will enjoy the best legroom in the class, plus reclining rear seats. Available heated and ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel will keep you at the perfect temperature, no matter what it’s like outside. And an available panoramic sunroof allows everyone to take in the sun and sights.
To bring along all your gear, the rear cargo area offers a class-leading 39.6 cubic feet of cargo room, or fold down the 60/40 split-folding rear seats to reveal 74.1 cubic feet of space. A dual-level cargo floor helps keep sensitive items hidden from passers-by. For extra convenience, the available Smart Power Tailgate offers hands-free opening just by sensing your key.
The 2024 Kia Sportage is powered by a 2.5-liter engine that produces 187 horsepower and 178 lb.-ft. of torque. Also available are hybrid and plug-in hybrid models that produce 227 horsepower and 261 horsepower, respectively. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that delivers just the right blend of power and efficiency for any situation. Normal, Smart, Sport, and available Snow Drive Modes allow you to refine how the transmission responds to driver input.
An available all-wheel drive with center locking differential gives you more confidence to travel when road conditions are less than ideal, or when there’s no road at all. All-wheel drive models get an increased 8.3-inches of ground clearance for your off-road adventures. When equipped with trailer brakes, the Sportage can tow up to 2,500 lbs. Or, utilize the available high-utility roof rails to carry everything you need for the ultimate adventure.
The Sportage X-Pro is made for adventure and features exclusive styling, like matte black wheels and two-tone paint options with an Ebony Black roof. Inside, you’ll find SynTex seating with the Sportage X-Pro pattern, while outside you’ll find high-utility roof rails and durable black cladding for extra protection from the elements. Active All-wheel Drive with Multi-terrain Mode lets you take on the outdoors with confidence, while LED projector headlights help you see more clearly at night.
A host of standard safety features on the Kia Sportage help increase driver alertness and prevent collisions. The standard Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist can detect cars, pedestrians, and bicycles in the Sportage’s path and apply the brakes in the event of an imminent frontal collision. To keep the vehicle centered in its lane, Lane Departure Warning alerts the driver of an unintended lane departure, and if the driver doesn’t respond, Lane Keeping Assist can steer the car back into its lane.
When starting on an incline, you don’t need to worry about the vehicle rolling backwards when you let off the brake pedal. Hill Start Assist Control will keep the vehicle stationary until it begins moving forward. For steep descents, Downhill Brake Control applies the brakes to keep the vehicle at 5 mph, enabling you to focus on steering the Sportage. And if the system detects that the driver’s attention has been reduced, Driver Attention Warning will issue an alert.
Much of the technology in the Kia Sportage is controlled by a standard 8-inch touchscreen display, including the 6-speaker audio system. An available 8-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Sound system allows you to listen to your music, podcasts, and more in high-clarity sound. You can access all your phone’s playlists, apps, messaging, and navigation with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. And keep everything charged with available wireless charging and up to four USB-C chargers.
If you’ve ever had a hard time finding your car keys in your pocket or purse, you’ll appreciate the available Smart Key with Push Button Start. As long as your key fob is within range, you can lock and unlock doors, or start and stop the car with the push of a button. Available Blind-Spot View Monitor activates when you turn on your turn signal and shows a live view of the vehicle’s blind spots, enabling you to change lanes safely.
Parking the Sportage is easy with the standard Rear-View Monitor with Dynamic Parking Guidance, which shows what’s behind the vehicle together with the bumper width. Meanwhile, rear Park Distance Warning provides an audible warning if an object is detected behind the vehicle. The available Surround View Monitor offers a view of all four sides surrounding the Sportage, which is useful for parking and maneuvering through tight spaces.
Seven available Sportage trims offer something for everyone, starting with the LX. This entry-level trim features LED headlights and tail lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, 8-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Audio, and more. The EX builds on the LX’s standard features, adding amenities like 18-inch alloy wheels, Blind Spot Detection Technology, a 12.3-inch Touchscreen Display with Navigation, Dual-Zone Auto Climate Control, and Smart Key with Push Button & Remote Start.
Adding to the EX features, the SX includes a Panoramic Sunroof, Harman Kardon Premium Audio System, Driver’s Seat Memory System, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go Highway Driving Assist. The top-of-the-line SX Prestige includes all SX features, plus 19-inch gloss-black alloy wheels, Blind-Spot View Monitor, Surround View Monitor, ventilated front seats, and Reverse Parking Collision Avoidance Assist.
The Sportage X-Line AWD adds to the standard EX features with Active All-Wheel Drive, 19-inch gloss-black alloy wheels, roof rails, and X-Line SynTex Seat Trim with heated front seats. The next trim is the Sportage X-Pro, which adds Multi-Terrain Drive Modes, 17-inch matte black alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, smart power tailgate, and Harman Kardon Premium Audio System.
