For the first time ever, the Kia Sorento you know and love is now available in Hybrid form! That’s right. Now you can have the dependability and affordability of the old Sorento with a more fuel-efficient powertrain. But better gas mileage isn’t the only thing the 2021 Sorento Hybrid has going for it.
The all-new 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid is available in two trims: S and EX. Let us show you what you can expect from each trim, as well as important fuel economy information and performance specs.
When it comes to Hybrids, MPG is king. And the new 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid delivers. Both the S and EX trims are EPA-estimated at 39/35/37 mpg. The Sorento Hybrid has such high fuel economy thanks to its 1.6-liter turbo-four and full parallel hybrid system. Together, they put out a combined 227 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.
The 2021 Sorento Hybrid S comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, an 8-inch touchscreen, and eight USB chargers. It also has Kia Smart Key with push button and remote start. Safety-wise, it has blind spot avoidance with rear cross traffic avoidance, automated emergency braking technology, lane keeping and following assist, high beam assist, and safe exit assist.
The 2021 Sorento Hybrid EX keeps all of the S features and adds a few premium ones. New features include a smart power liftgate, a panoramic sunroof with power sunshade, and wireless smartphone charging. Driver assistive features also get a boost. The EX adds enhanced auto emergency braking with junction turn and cyclist detection, stop-and-go smart cruise control, and forward and reverse parking distance warning.
